Thank you for your interest in the Wilson County School System. Applications for openings listed may be obtained at our Central Office. You may also call our application line at (615) 453-7321 to request an application packet. Please be sure to leave your name, complete mailing address, phone number, and type position for which you are applying. A completed application, with required documentation, is mandatory for all positions. Applications are accepted on a continual basis for all areas and are kept on file for three (3) years. To keep your application active, please notify Human Resources of any changes.
ATTENTION: CERTIFIED TEACHER APPLICANTS:
In order to interview, you must have completed and submitted all of the information listed in the instructions that accompanied your application. The Human Resources department will review your completed application packet. Successful candidates meeting all eligibility requirements, academic standards, and system needs will be issued a Letter of Clearance.
Principals will conduct initial interviews when a specific position is available. You MUST present your Letter of Clearance to each interviewing principal. We will provide principals the names of those applicants who have been cleared to interview. You may contact a principal regarding a specific job if you have a Letter of Clearance with the appropriate endorsements. A Letter of Clearance does not guarantee that you will receive an interview, only that the principal is authorized to interview you.
Although your application is kept on file for three (3) years, your Letter of Clearance is valid for only six (6) months. In order to reactivate it, you will need to contact the Human Resources department and verify that you are still interested in a job with Wilson County Schools. There is no need to resubmit an application.
Again, we appreciate your interest in the Wilson County School System and wish you the best of luck in your job search.
