eClass Grades and Attendance

The following web pages were created to help you with common problems you may  encounter with eClass Grades or Attendance. If you cannot find the answer to your issue here, you can contact Ed Saunders at 443-2694 or email him at saunderse@wcschools.com.

To search through the eClass help files simply type in one or more keywords to search for and click the Search button.
Searches can include * as a wildcard. Exact phrase searching is also enabled using "quote marks"

Instructions on how to import class rosters:

1. Double click on the eclass Grades icon on your computer.
2. Click on File.
3. Click Open Class…
4. Double click your folder, which is your Win School ID number (make sure the Q Drive is showing at the bottom. If it is NOT showing, please change. It’s a pull down menu.)
5. On the left side you will see GENERIC.CLS. Double click on this. If a message comes up…..Click YES.
6. With the generic file now open, go to File, Import Roster.
7. You should now see your three (3) classes on the left. Double click the first one.
8. Your rosters for that class should now be showing.
9. Go to File.
10. Go down to Save Class As (IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SAVE CLASS AS and NOT SAVE CLASS THE FIRST TIME YOU IMPORT THE ROSTERS) From then on when you make any changes, you can simply click Save class OR exit your class and it will ask you if you want to save changes!
11. Name it whatever you want (example….. Art1.cls) and click OK
12. Click Style
13. Go down to Screen Prefs…
14. The third choice (Grading period) should be selected and show – 9 weeks Term 1 (this will change each grading period)
15. Click OK
16. Click on File. Go down to Save Style As…
17. Click OK
18. Go to File again. Go down to Close class
19. Click on Edit, Preferences… at the bottom is a little box with a line that says automatic roster update when opening a class. Please put an x in front of that box!! Click OK.
20. Repeat steps above for your other two classes, starting with Step 2 BUT do not name them all the same thing.
