History of the Wilson County Assistive Technology Center
During the 2001-2002 school year, grant money was put into place to create the present Assistive Technology Center. This Center is designed to serve not only students and teachers in Wilson County, but surrounding counties as well. Presently there are seven counties represented in our AT consortium. The focus of the grant was, and continues to be, to provide equipment, software, books and other materials for checkout to its members and to provide training in all areas of assistive devices--low and high tech.
Betsy is a school psychologist and assistive technology coordinator. Betsy was a school psychologist in Wilson County Schools for several years.
