 Teaching, Support, and Substitute Applications 

Before completing an application, please read the information below including the requirements for the specific type of application you are filling out (Teaching, Substitute Teaching, Administrative, Classified, Nursing, Transportation, or Non-Faculty/Volunteer).

Thank you for your interest in filling out an on-line application for the Wilson County School System. All applicants must submit their application on-line in order to be considered for any listed openings.

Once your application is complete*, you must express an interest in a posted position by logging into your account and making that selection under the Jobs tab. Principals and Department Heads will not see your application until you have actually applied for the specific job in their building or department.

 TEACHER and SUBSTITUTE TEACHER applicants

**After submitting the on-line application, you will receive an e-mail directing you to take the Gallup TeacherInsight on-line interview. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE GALLUP TEACHERINSIGHT INTERVIEW BEFORE YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION AS A TEACHER OR A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER.

·   This interview requires up to 45 minutes of uninterrupted time.
·   If you do not have the time to take the assessment at the time you filled out the applications, please save the email directions and complete the interview as soon as possible. 

OTHER APPLICANTS

Administrator(Principals, etc.), Classified, Nursing, Transportation, and Non-faculty applicants are NOT required to complete the Teacher Insight on-line interview.

CURRENT EMPLOYEES DESIRING TRANSFER

Current employees must use the link to the internal transfer application.

PROCESS

All applications will be reviewed for completion, eligibility requirements, academic standards, educational and work history, background history, and system needs.

When a vacancy occurs, administrators will contact the most qualified applicants for interviews.  Principals or Department Administrators will conduct interviews and make a hiring recommendation to the Director of Schools.  No applicant will become officially employed until approved by the Director of Schools.
