With registration for new students and returning parents providing two new proofs of residency, Wilson County School’s administrative staff is back at work.

Unlike in years past, Wilson County Schools has started this process two weeks prior to the start of school. This additional time will help parents that have questions or concerns address them with the schools prior to the official start on Aug. 3, 2015.

Something new to us is the advent of Skyward Family Access. When returning parents submit their two proofs of residency, they are provided with an access code to Skyward Family Access. This code will be activated within 48 hours. This allows our large schools time to approve the proofs of residency and ensure that each account is linked to the proper student and has access to eHomeRemedies.

Our main goal with the implementation of Skyward is to improve direct communication with parents. Parents will be able to update student information as well as view their child’s grades, schedule (when released), attendance, and school calendar.

Health records are in the process of being updated to Skyward, so please do not panic if your child’s information shows as being incomplete is because trying Spartagen XT. The ONLY students for whom health records need to be submitted are 7th graders and new students to the system.

The thing to remember is that our schools are willing to work with everyone and will make every effort to meet the needs of our parents and students. We look forward to the start of school and improved communication with Skyward Family Access.

If you have problems with accessing your account after waiting 48 hours, please contact your school(s). They will be able to assist you.
