Students at Stoner Creek, Carroll Oakland, Elzie Patton and Lakeview are enjoying their junior chef classes.
In August the students learned proper hand washing techniques, how to wash dishes by hand, and they learned all about the commercial equipment in their cafeteria. They learned about fresh kale and then prepared kale chips for their snack.
In September the students learned and practiced knife skills. They made watermelon cupcakes and real whipped cream to use as icing. Kiwi and black grapes were part of their snack as well.
