corporations. Payroll and taxes
are introduced along with banking activities related to accounting.
Simulation sets are used to reinforce accounting procedures.

to improve students’ use and understanding of the computer in the
information age. Students use a
variety of computer applications to increase productivity.
Focus is on advancing touch-method keyboarding skills, document
processing, numeric keypad, and production of reports, tables, and mailable
business documents, with an emphasis on industry production standards using
Microsoft applications. Formatting,
typography, and layout design concepts are applied in the preparation of
business letters, forms, reports, and tables.
Simulated projects are used for problem-solving and business document
preparation. NOTE:
This course may not be taken if a student is enrolled in or has
earned a credit in Keyboarding/Keyboarding Applications.
