The Mission of Mt. Juliet High School

The school mission of Mt. Juliet High School is to provide the environment and the learning experiences that will assist all students in achieving physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.  It is the school's responsibility to join with parents, students, and the community in meeting the needs of individual students while helping to build the foundation for a productive and satisfying life in our democratic society.

The Mt. Juliet High School administration, staff, and student body believe that secondary education should be a continual growing process, beginning with basic skills. Our philosophy is to adopt our policies and curriculum toward academic and vocational goals as student interests and needs arise.

The staff is aware that the capabilities of individuals differ; however, we are interested in each individual student achieving to the best of his/her potential. We strive to instill in each a sense of responsibility to home, school, community, and country. Each student is encouraged to develop respect for the rights and worth of all people.

The staff desires that each student graduating from Mt. Juliet High School be encouraged to set goals and develop relevant values for his/her role in a changing society. The staff is aware of its role as support personnel to expose every student to this philosophy and its objectives.

Recognizing that the school reflects the community, the school staff believes that working cooperatively and effectively with the community is important. Our school should afford the people of the community opportunities to make their desires and influences felt in the determination of school policies and procedures and thereby bring the school into a closer working relationship with the community it serves.
