Indians (no, not Native Americans-
Columbus has made a mess of things!), the real Indians are a fascinating people
and culture. The country of India has
the second largest population on the planet.
Though, the numbers speak volumes, many Americans know very little about
this culture and the people. India is
slowly progressing toward becoming a world power. Shouldn’t we know something about the people who may become a
greater superpower then the United States?
View the following introduction powerpoint to begin to understand the nation of India.
Your task will be to create
an imaginary Indian person. You will
investigate lifestyles of Indian people in order to create a realistic view of
what life would be like for your person.
Be sure to research fully. You
must use correct information when deciding your person’s lifestyle. Remember the general information
powerpoint…. What percentage is involved with agriculture? If you decide your person is outside of the
majority, you have to explain why. How
did your person come to be what and where they are?
You will create a portfolio
for your person using the following outline as the Table of contents page.
Map
of India designating place of residence
Collage

Essay
on your person’s favorite hobby or sport: (typed 1-2 pages, 1in. margin,
