Ms. Halbert's Reflection of Lesson

Ms. Halbert graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1999 with a B.S. degree in Secondary English Education.  She began teaching English at Mt. Juliet High School in the fall of that year.  Ms. Halbert is currently working on her Master of Arts in English degree at Middle Tennessee State University and is a teacher-consultant with the West Tennessee Writing Project.

Beth Halbert's philosophy of technology integration is as follows:

"The most obvious incentive for me to integrate technology into my English classroom is that my students' writing improves when they use computers as a tool.  When students use computers for writing, their writing gets longer and they revise more.  Student writers are enpowered when they have opportunities to use computers for revision and publication."
