WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FIRST DAY AT MAP ACADEMY:

Child’s name

  1. Parent must go with the child prior to coming to MAP and turn in the
    student’s books to the appropriate principal. Paper and pencils (#2 lead pencils, no  
         mechanical) must be with them when they enter M.A.P.  The child is not to
         go into the school by themselves and do this.
  1. Parent and child must be at MAP Academy promptly at 8:30 a.m. on the following date:  _____/_____/_____.  You must be on time based upon the fact that there is a possibility that other families will be having Intakes as well and will all start at the same time. Parents will be here for approximately one hour.
  2. Parents should be prepared to give any medical information and have any medication ready to place on file with the Secretary after the Intake process.
  3. The boy should be clean-shaven and hair should be 0-2 inches all over head  in length and evenly tapered (for boys).  Girls should be prepared to have hair pulled back in a ponytail if it is below the ears. 
  4. Students must wear gray t-shirts while at M.A.P. Academy..
  5. Students should have the proper pants on when he/she arrives at MAP.

Gray sweats pants are the only acceptable pants to wear at MAP.  If pants have pockets they must be sewn closed and must have the elastic in the bottom of the legs and at the waist (or draw string).  Pants must be of appropriate size.

  2. Beverages brought by students for lunch purposes must be clear and in a sealed container. The only dessert a student may bring in their lunch is fruit.

STUDENTS THAT DO NOT COME IN COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY POINTS ON THEIR FIRST DAY.
