CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS SOCCER TEAM!  They placed 3rd in the District Soccer Tournament Saturday.  Way To Go Lady Bears!

 

SEEK classes will begin this week. 

 

Student Council will meet tomorrow morning at 7:50 in Mr. Speck’s room. 

 

Cookie Dough Delivery – Tuesday, September 30th from 12:00 – 5:30.

 

MTSU has a math and science program for girls, Expanding Your Horizons in Math and Science.  The event is from 8 AM to 3 PM Oct. 25th.  Students will participate in hands-on activities while learning more about science and math careers.  The fee is $12.  Visit www.mtsu.edu/-eyh or call 898-5776 for information.

Congratulations to the girls’ volleyball team.  They beat Watertown in the first round of the tournament yesterday. They play at 5 o’clock Thursday against Southside and if we win that we play in the championship game at 6.

**If you see any of the volleyball girls on your team, please give them big congratulations for a job well done--They finished in 1st place for the regular season and the tournament starts today. They play Watertown at Carroll Oakland at 6. They have to win that since its single elimination. Then we would play Thursday.  Good Luck Lady Bears!

 

**Congratulations to the girls’ soccer team for their win over Southside 4-0 on Monday.  They have a game today at 4:00 PM against West Wilson.  Their final tournament is Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27 at Walter J. Baird.  Good Luck Lady Bears!

Congratulations to the MJMS football team.  They defeated West Wilson Middle School 36-0 last night.

Their next game is Tuesday, September 23rd at Portland.

Congratulations to the girls’ soccer team.  They tied Walter J. Baird 4 to 4.

 

Parents please remember that flip flops of any kind are not in the school dress code. 

 

PAWS fund raiser starts Monday, Sept. 15th.  Please make sure that your student keeps up with the Citi-Pass book that is handed out to them.  They need to sell it and more or return it to school.

Congratulations to the MJMS Bears football team for their victory over Dickson County yesterday 16 to 8.

 

Congratulations to Shelby Crawford for winning Homecoming Queen 2008.

 

Congratulations to the girls volleyball team for their victory over Carroll Oakland and the once undefeated Tuckers Cross Road.

 

Archery Club membership sign ups will we Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the mornings and at lunch.  Please see Coach Evans, Coach Baxter, or Coach Bivens for more information.

 

Step Team Practice will be Sept. 15, 16, and 18 in Mrs. Clarks room.

 

No Softball workouts Thursday, September 11th.  Workouts will resume next Tuesday and Thursday, September 16th and 18th.

Are you interested in being a cheerleader or on the dance team in middle school or high school?? This is the clinic for you!! You will learn what is required for tryouts, have a demonstration of a dance and a cheer tryout, learn a dance based on skill level, learn a cheer and a chant, learn jumps, motions, stunts,  technique for dance, and tumbling based on ability.

You will perform at Coming Home, Jan. 15th, 2009!

 

We will have several clinics to prepare you for your performance and will go over information you will need for tryouts. This is not required, but will be very helpful to you. You could even golden ticket to pass the first cut for cheer tryouts! We will hand out a dance medal, cheer medal, and a technique/skills medal.

The dates for the other clinics

November 4th 3:30-5:00

December 11th 3:30-5:00

January 8th 3:30-5:00

 

Please try and attend all clinics. We will get a shirt to wear to the game. I will discuss that at the clinic and give you information on how much it will be. It will probably say Coming Home 2009.

Please turn all money and forms in to Derri Dalton no later than Thursday= September 25, 2009!!!

Cost for clinic/performance:  only $25.00

Under the Pond Dance II

            Tickets go on Sale Friday, $5.00

            Dance is Sept. 26th from 6:30-9:00 PM

 

Softball workouts will be Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 PM

 

Homecoming tomorrow, Sept. 9th.  Football game starts at 6:00 against Dickson County Dragons.  Go Bears!

 

Wildcat Chef Academy is a camp for children ages 9-14 during fall and spring 
break. Students will learn about food preparation and safety as they prepare 
meals for their families (4-5 servings). $200 per session

Catfish meeting Thursday, Sept. 4th at 7:45 AM in room 209.  Get your hall pass from Mr. Tatlock.

            New members are welcome…$10.00 to join.

            Bring snacks and drinks to the meeting

            Win the “Boss Hawg” fishing combo this Thursday.

            Class officer elections this Thursday must be paid member to vote.
