Next Tuesday, November 15th, at 6:30, Wilson County Schools will host a community meeting at Elzie Patton Elementary to discuss proposed zoning changes for next school year.
Parents of students who currently attend Elzie Patton and Stoner Creek Elementary schools are strongly encouraged to attend these meetings, as these are the two schools that will be most directly impacted by any future changes.
In August, Wilson County’s newest school, Springdale Elementary, will open its’ doors to approximately 500 students. A majority of those students currently attend Stoner Creek Elementary, however some students from Elzie Patton will also be impacted by the proposed rezoning.
At next week’s meeting, parents will get the opportunity to look at zoning maps, ask questions, and share their concerns before any final decisions are made by the Wilson County school board.
