Kenzie’s Story

 

Makenzie Matthews is eight years old and a third grader at Stoner Creek in Ms. Gatlin’s homeroom class. Back in September of 2008, Makenzie was taken to the doctor for treatment of what her parents thought were migraine headaches.  A concerned doctor ordered an MRI and  a brain tumor was found.  It was removed; however, it was discovered the tumor was malignant.  As the summer approaches, she is in the midst of  radiation & chemotherapy treatment. 

 

She is strong, courageous, and is not afraid.  She is our hero.

Helo everyone glad to see'ya,
my counts are..(drum role please) they are 444, witch means they went down.But we think they are going to make a big jump because the baby newtrophils made a big jump!

SO.. PRAYERS NEEDED PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Uther than that, there is a softball tornamint called the :Gradin Ganes Foundashion, There are 3 teams so if you want to be on one tell us in a post back to me or you can email my mom. so Anyway Madison,Justin, and me get to pick a name for "our team". And I wanted to know if you would be so kind and give me some idas in the post you send back to me for a team name. Madison has picked her team name, it is Mt Juliet Fighters!!!!!!

Hello everybody and welcome to care pages! the news of the week is that my brothers birthday is in three days,

and guess what,"what" i,Madison Elizabeth Matthews,i have stinkin pink eye in both eyes and every night when i go to sleep my eyes get crusted and when i say that i mean it so i have to wake up in the middle of the night and my daddy has to open them and i have to have theese eye drops that sting and make my eyes sting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for their continued support.  Please continue to remember Kenzie as her counts are very low at this time.  Kenzie is very pale and tiring easily in the past several days. 

Please continue to remember her friend, Savannah.  She too is undergoing chemo and is experiencing the side effects of the medication like Kenzie sometimes does.
