LEBANON, TENNESSEE — Six schools in the Wilson County Schools System will have new starting and ending times for the 2015-’16 school year, which begins Monday, Aug. 3.

 

Wilson Central High School and West Wilson Middle School will both start at 8:30 a.m. with dismissal times at 3:30 p.m. Doors will open at both schools at 7:45 a.m.

Mt. Juliet High School and Mt. Juliet Middle School will both start at 8:15 a.m. with dismissal at 3:15 p.m. Doors will open at both schools at 7:40 a.m.

Carroll Oakland and Tuckers Crossroads K-8 Schools will both start at 7:15 a.m. with dismissal at 2:15 p.m. Doors will open at both at 6:45 a.m.

“All other schools in the system will observe the same start and dismissal times as in the 2014-’15 school year,” said Dr. Donna Wright, director of schools.

Director of Transportation Tiffany Lowery said the staggering time changes will allow for appropriate routing schedules for the students.

Additionally, the Highways 70/109 Transfer Point used by students attending West Wilson Middle School and Wilson Central High School will be eliminated, according to Lowery.Read more on showerheadly.com.
