Since NOSSI College of Art does not participate in the Lottery Scholarship program, students who qualify for the Lottery Scholarship will automatically qualify for the Merit Scholarship at NOSSI College of Art. NOSSI College of Art has the lowest tuition rate of any art college in Tennessee!

Please place the following link on our website under the scholarships section.  This looks like a great resource for find the right college.  Students can register for a $2,000 scholarship given away four times a year, but they can also search for colleges based on academic majors, sports, or location. www.anycollege.com

College Scholarships

When viewing the 2009-10 scholarships, until there is a deadline posted, the application and information for scholarships that are available in the guidance office has not been received.  As soon as a deadline is posted, the paper application is available in the guidance office.

Scholarships with a website – application must be completed and submitted on line (some of these deadlines must be obtained by visiting the website)

Local scholarships (for example:  Wilson One, Coca-Cola, BPW, etc.) normally begin arriving by mail or courier after Christmas break.  Most of them will be available for application around March or later.

FAFSA – this is the application to apply for the Hope/Lottery Scholarship.  Hope and Lottery are one in the same.  Before applying for the FAFSA you will want to apply for a pin number.  This will be your exclusive ID number that will help you with signing the FAFSA electronically and will also allow you to track your information.  For this year’s seniors – you can’t complete the FAFSA until January 1.  You will have from January 1 until August 31, 2009 to apply for the FAFSA for the fall semester.  The website to get started with the FAFSA is www.fafsa.ed.gov

Hope/Lottery scholars must:

  • Enroll in one of the Tennessee public colleges, universities, or private colleges listed on the www.CollegePaysTN.com website.
  • Enroll within 16 months of high school graduation or completion of a home school or GED program.
  • Tennessee residents graduating from some out of state high schools may be eligible.
