Wilson Central lost a dear, dear friend September 2, 2009. Kellie Whited has touched so many with her sunny disposition, contagious smile, strength, and courage.
We will miss you Kellie!

There has been a trust fund set up at Wilson Bank & Trust in her sons name, Caleb Whited, if you wish to donate in lieu of flowers.

Seniors who need to speak with a guidance counselor, please see the following:

Last Name: A – F, Lindsay Macpherson
Last Name: G – N, Debbie Hill
Last Name: O – Z, Jodi Davis

In the event one of the counselors is not available, Mrs. Tomlinson can help them with questions about the ACT, scholarships, college info, FAFSA, tutoring, etc.  Mrs. Cawthon can help them with transcripts, Social Security issues, Good Student Discount for insurance, etc.  All else will have to be handled by a counselor.

Thank you for your patience during this time.

Tennessee Scholars

The Tennessee Scholars Program is a course of study that encourages students to take more demanding classes in high school which will better prepare them to enter a technical school, community college, university or the work-force.  Tennessee Scholars will be students who complete specific academic courses in math science, language arts, and social studies.  Further requirements will include a computer course, wellness, fine arts, foreign language, and two technical courses in the same technical track.  In addition, students will be expected to have 20 hours of community service, an overall "C" average in Tennessee Scholars courses, 95% attendance, and no out-of-school suspensions.

As a Tennessee Scholar, students are recognized by teachers, parents, and community leaders as students who accept challenges and set high goals.  Tennessee Scholars have opportunities for better jobs and are stronger candidates for certain types of financial aid and scholarships for college.  By following, and exceeding, the graduation path requirements, every student can be a Tennessee Scholar.
