What are the Library hours?
The Library hours are as follows:
7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday-Thursday
7:30am - 3:30pm, Friday
How many books may I check out?
You may check out up to five (5) books at a time.
How long may I keep my books?
Books are checked out for a 2-week period and may be renewed for an extra 2 weeks if necessary.
Do I have to pay fines for overdue or lost books?
Students are given a 3-day grace period when books become due, after which they are charged 10 cents per day for each overdue book. Students agree to accept responsibility for books they check out from the library. Students must pay replacement cost for lost books and/or the overdue fine up to a maximum fine of $7.00 if books are turned in late. It is school policy to hold a students' grades if these obligations are not met.
Do I need a library card to check out books?
You do not need a library card to check out books.
What does it cost to print or to use the copy machine?
You may have 3 free copies per day. After that we charge 5 cents per page for copies from the printers and 10 cents per page for copies made on the copy machine. These charges cover expenses for ink cartridges, paper, etc. We do not have a color printer.
Can I use the Library during school hours?
Students MUST have a note from their teacher, preferrably their signed agenda, to come to the library during class time, unless accompanied by the teacher. This includes students who need to come during their lunch time.
What is the school internet policy?
Wilson County Schools will take every precaution to restrict access to objectionable material. Disciplinary action will be taken against users who violate this policy in accordance with the School Board Discipline Code. The following is restricted: *Downloading or installing software.
*Tampering with technology equipment.
*Duplicating software is forbidden.
*Students must abide by copyright laws.
*Tampering with other people's data to gain unauthorized access to accounts or files.
