Mrs. Jones teaches Honors Algebra I, Statistics, Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry, Technical Math, Technical Algebra, Technical Geometry, and Intermediate Algebra. She is Chairperson of the Math Department, Sponsor of the Denominators Math Club and supervisor for their peer tutoring service project. She is also Chair of the Wilson County Mathematics Vertical Alignment Committee, serves on the Governor’s P-16 Council for Math Alignment, the State Curriculum Development committee, and is a State Trainer for Technical Geometry for the State.
Mrs. Jones earned her BA degree from George Peabody College for Teachers. She and her husband David have 2 boys. Mrs. Jones plays piano and keyboards, works in a music ministry with the Nashville Rescue Mission and the Hope Center and loves to read. She collects antique clothing buttons and is currently serving as President of the National Button Society. Mrs. Jones considers herself to be a life-long learner and tries to instill that in her students as well as a love for and an appreciation of mathematics and what it can do for us.
