For the 4th year in a row, Wilson County Schools will be offering free classes to parents and citizens, who are interested in learning how to speak conversational English.

Starting next Tuesday, November 7th, ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers will begin conducting weekly classes at two different schools, with staggered start times.  The goal is to accommodate as many participants and schedules as possible.  Classes will be held at the following locations and times, each Tuesday that school is in session.

West Wilson Middle School
935 North Mt. Juliet Road
Mt. Juliet, TN

Carroll Oakland Elementary
4664 Hunters Point Pike
Lebanon, TN

The classes are made possible each year, thanks to a federal grant that’s awarded to districts experiencing an increase in their immigrant population.  In 2013, Wilson County only had about 300 ESL students district-wide.  This year, that number has more than doubled.

Registration forms are available at your child’s school, or printed from one of the following links:

If you would like to attend, simply fill out the registration form, and return it to the ESL teacher at your child’s school.  Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of their current English proficiency level.
