Mrs. Hirschmann teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade resource and inclusion Reading and Language Arts classes. “As a service professional, an educator, my job is to hook students into the learning process and respond to them individually and creatively. It is a real pleasure to participate in our students’ academic development and personal growth during their middle school years.”

The Choral Music program is handling the “Boxtops4Education” and the “Campbell’s Labels for Education” campaign in an effort to raise money for our program. Most parents should be familiar with these programs from Elementary school. In the “Boxtops4Education” program, students bring in part of the box from a participating General Mills product, such as Cheerios, Nature Valley granola bars, Ziploc plastic bags and containers (see attached file for list of products) with the logo on it and drop in a specially-marked bag in their Home Room. We redeem these logo coupons for money twice yearly from General Mills. The “Campbell’s Labels for Education” works basically the same way: students bring in labels to the bag in their Home Room from participating products (see attached file) which we redeem for points toward things for our class such as a projector, computer, etc. Each nine weeks, we will have a prize for the Home Room that brings in the most logo coupons for the “Boxtops” and the most points from the Campbells labels.
