ACT Test
The ACT test is a college entrance exam used by many colleges to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple choice assessment that measures students’ academic achievement in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science, with an optional writing assessment. Completing a college entrance exam like the ACT is a high school graduation requirement for a regular high school diploma in Tennessee. All Wilson County high school juniors will take the ACT in the spring and all seniors in the fall. Sophomores will take a practice ACT test in the spring as well.We want your student to be as prepared as possible for the ACT test, and we want as many students as possible to earn a 21+ or higher on the ACT test to demonstrate their readiness for postsecondary education opportunities and to be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship which awards up to $1,750 per semester of full-time college enrollment in students' freshman and sophomore years of college and up to $2,250 in their sophomore and junior years of college at Tennessee's public and approved colleges and universities.University of Tennessee at Martin offers FREE ACT Workshops to all Tennessee high school students this summer through fall 2021!
