For the past 12 years, Wilson County Schools has been selected to participate in the Superintendent’s Art Show at the Frist Art Museum in downtown Nashville.
Our fabulous art teachers are allowed to select two pieces of art from each grade or course to be on display at the Frist for two weeks. This year, the show will start on January 25 and end on February 9. Our Director of Schools, Dr. Donna Wright, will address parents and students multiple times at a reception on Saturday, February 1.
Schools will provide you with the specific time for your child to attend the reception.
It's a wonderful and fun opportunity to embrace the visual arts! Wilson County Schools has many talented young artists that we celebrate and showcase during this show. You will be able to head up to the second floor to see student artwork on display and take some pictures. The show is open for anyone wanting to come support our students and visual art teachers. So, let’s all gain a little “Culture” and support the visual arts by attending the show!
