Lakeview Elementary's Great Kindness Challenge Kickoff
-
Lakeview Elementary had our kickoff assembly for our 3rd Annual Great Kindness Challenge on Monday, January 28, 2019. Pictured is Mrs. Oglesby's 5th grade class who performed our opening skit. In addition to students, faculty, and staff members, also in attendance at the event was Mt. Juliet Police Chief James Hambrick, Wilson County School's Pam Peery, Wilson County School Board member Chad Karl, and Wilson County Commissioner for District 18 Lauren Breeze. (Faculty/staff members also pictured are Mrs. Brittany Koehn, Mrs. Tammy Jones, SRO J.P. Tuggle, Principal Tracey Burge, Mrs. Hannah Baisley, Mr. Eric Whitman, and Mrs. Brianna Meler)
This is the 3rd year that Lakeview has participated in the nation-wide Great Kindness Challenge. It is the week that we dedicate to spreading kindness, being positive, and taking a stand against bullying in our school. We are grateful for our community leaders who were on hand to support Lakeview faculty and staff as we empower our students to create a culture of kindness at school, at home, and in our community.
