ABOUT MRS. PROCTOR

  • I grew up in small-town Indiana, but moved to the Nashville area when I attended college at Vanderbilt University in 1998. I graduated with a B.A. in English and Anthropology in 2002, and began teaching Language Arts at Mt. Juliet Middle School. After 12 years of teaching, I earned my Master's degree in Education/Library Science from MTSU in 2017. I have been the librarian at GMS since its opening in 2019.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading, writing poetry, swimming, and doing puzzles.

I believe that the library is a place for everyone. I strive to make it a warm, welcoming, and collaborative space that meets the needs of every member of the school community. I also think a day without laughter is a day wasted. I can't wait to read, learn, and laugh with all of you!
