Class of 2024 that will be attending TN Tech in the Fall: Below is important information about Scholarship and Housing Deadlines:
As we approach the end of the semester, I wanted to remind you of some crucial information regarding scholarship opportunities and housing for prospective students at Tennessee Tech University.
- Scholarship Application Deadline: December 15
We want to ensure that all qualified students can apply for scholarships at Tennessee Tech. Our institution is proud to offer over 750 departmental and institutional scholarships, providing significant support for our students. Notably, 49% of Tennessee Tech students graduate debt-free, thanks to these scholarship opportunities.
To make the most of this chance, please remind your students that the deadline for scholarship applications is December 15, and they must be admitted to apply for this scholarship application.
Please remind students who are weighing their options to apply to Tech because we are non-committal. Students can be accepted to Tech and apply for scholarships without being committed to Tech. We do not want your students to miss out on these financial opportunities.
- Housing Application for Incoming Freshmen
For incoming freshmen, the housing application opened on October 1st. As you may know, freshmen at Tennessee Tech are required to live on campus. We prioritize their housing assignments based on a first-come, first-served policy.
While freshmen are guaranteed housing on campus, preferences will be awarded based on the order in which housing applications are received. Therefore, I encourage you to advise your students to submit their housing applications as soon as possible.
We believe that the on-campus living experience contributes significantly to students' personal and academic growth during their first year at Tennessee Tech. The priority given to incoming freshmen ensures that they have a comfortable and supportive environment as they transition to university life.

MSEAP is intended for outstanding students who are uniquely qualified to succeed in college and potentially as a medical professional. The purpose of the program is to address the shortage of primary care physicians in rural and underserved areas of Tennessee by providing highly qualified students an enriched undergraduate experience in preparation for medical school. Participants in this program study a three-year pre medical curriculum at MTSU followed by four years of medical school at Meharry. One of the advantages to this program is that students will receive conditional admission to medical school before starting college and can earn both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree in seven years.
If you know anyone interested, please refer them to the attached flyer or to our website for more information. All the pertinent information, including program eligibility requirements and the application to apply, can be found on that website.
Friday, December 1, 2023 is this year’s application deadline.
