• Innovative Early College Program Flyer

    We are excited to announce the launch of the Fall 2022 Early College Innovative Program. Under this program, students can earn college credits in high-demand, high-skill, and high-wage programs of study. If selected, students will take college courses full-time during the fall and spring of the next school year. These programs included under the Innovative Early College Grant are listed below: 

    • Volunteer State Community College 
      • Associate of Applied Science in Business with a concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management 
      • Associate of Science in Pre-Health Professionals 
      • Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing 
    • Cumberland University 
      • Associate of Arts in Business 
      • Associate of Arts in Education
    • Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT-Hartsville)
      • Advanced Manufacturing with an emphasis in Mechatronics 
      • Pre-Licensed Practical Nurse 

    Rising 11th and 12th-grade students are eligible to apply for the opportunity to participate in the Innovative Early College Program. The Innovative program will allow students to earn an associate's degree in the above-listed areas before graduating high school for rising 11th graders. Our senior students will enable them to get a head start in earning their associate's degree and earning living wages faster. 


    Minimum application requirements:

    - 3.0 GPA per semester (unweighted)

    - 21 ACT or equivalent on the college entrance exam for Cumberland University and Volunteer State. TCAT Nursing Program also requires a 21 ACT score by Spring 2022 semester end. 

    -Completed Algebra 2 by the end of Spring 2022 Semester


    For more information, a flyer and presentation are linked. We will also have informational sessions on 1/27 at 6 p.m. Virtually (zoom link information below) and 1/25 at 5:30 p.m. in-person (in-person at ATC Café 415 Harding Drive Lebanon, TN) to help answer questions.

    As a reminder, the grant will only cover the majority of 1 year in this next cohort 2022-2023 school year. The cost for the second year for 11th grade students (2023-2024) will have to be covered by the student/family.
