The purpose of Mt. Juliet High School PTSO is to:
• Serve as an advocate for the education and well-being of every student.
• Serve as a relevant resource for families and wider Wilson Co. community.
• Promote open communication between administration, teachers, students and parents.
• Serve as forum where parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults can discuss ways to promote quality education, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhood.
THE PTSO HAS 3 MAIN GOALS
TEACHER APPRECIATION STUDENT ENRICHMENT COMMUNITY OUTREACH
TEACHER APPRECIATION
Last year PTSO provided: • Pick me ups throughout the year for the teachers and staff like a popcorn party, hot chocolate bar, and sundae bar. • Teacher Appreciation Week! • A pizza party to celebrate being a 2021 Reward School. • Meals for all teachers and staff for fall and spring Parent Teacher Conferences. • Celebrated custodians, nurse and SROs appreciation days by providing them special lunch on those days, and supported the teacher and support staff of the month program by providing gift cards.
STUDENT ENRICHMENT

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Something for Everyone! • We are continuing to strive for more community outreach and involvement through hosting trivia nights and other community events. • We are starting up our Bear Business Partner Program to grow relationships with businesses in the Mt. Juliet community. • If you own or manage a business in the area, there are great opportunities to partner with PTSO and support MJHS and ALL its students. • Look for more information and how to partner with us!
And what PTSO is most proud of is the PTSO MEL Brown Bear Pride Scholarship. We sold shirts and raised money to provide scholarships for 4 seniors in honor of MJHS late principal Mel Brown.
