Educator of the Month
-
In partnership with Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, we are excited to announce the Educator of the Month! It goes to a very deserving teacher at Wilson Central High School! Congrats to DeAna Duncan!
She is the Audio/Video Productions teacher at WCHS. Her principal, Mr. Travis Mayfield, nominated her for this honor and several of her students provided feedback on why she should receive “Educator of the Month.”
Ms. Duncan has been teaching this particular program for about three years. Students are able to get very creative in her class using cameras, editing equipment, studio sets and produce script writing. These skills are essential for students wanting to pursue a career in broadcasting and film production. However, some students take the class just to really boost their creativity in whatever subject they love the most! Ms. Duncan provides a path for these students to succeed!
