Clinical Experiences

To be considered for pre-student teaching experience (field experience, observation, or practicum), the following must be completed:

1. The college/university must complete a Request for Placement for each student.
2. The student must complete the Student Teacher Application. 
3. The student or college/university must provide proof of a current background check and email to Jacob Moffett, at moffejac100@wcschools.com. 
4. The student must complete the FERPA Form and email to Jacob Moffett, at moffejac100@wcschools.com.

Our Human Resources Department has developed a registration system for our practicum and student teaching placements.  This system collects data from our colleges/universities and student teaching candidates, to ensure that all students are appropriately screened, principals are aware of and approve all placements, and it allows us to track excellent student teachers for early hire.

Student teaching/clinical experience
To be considered for a student teaching/clinical experience placement in one of our schools, the following must be on file before placement will be approved:

1. The college/university must complete a Request for Placement for each student.
2. The college/university must have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file with Wilson County Schools.
3. The student must complete the Student Teacher Application.
4. The student must provide proof of a current background check to be uploaded to the attachment section of the Student Teacher Application.
5. The student must complete the FERPA Form and email to Jacob Moffett, at moffejac100@wcschools.com.

To be considered for an internship placement in one of our schools, the following must be on file before placement will be approved:

1. The college/university must complete a Request for Placement for each student.
2. The college/university must have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file with Wilson County Schools.
3. The student must complete the Internship Application.
4. The student must provide proof of a current background check to be uploaded to the attachment section of the Internship Application.
