Academic competition club

The Academic Competition Club is for those students who would like to compete in different academic competitions throughout middle Tennessee. If you are interested in Quiz Bowl, Science, Math, Writing, or History and would like to compete as a team in these different competitions, Academic Competition Club is for you.
Every other Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm

BeyBlade & Trading Card Club

Crochet Club

Do you have an interest in learning a new skill? Then crochet club may be for you! Everyone is welcome and no previous skill is required. We just ask that you bring your own supplies.

Drama Bears
Sponsor: Mrs. London
The Drama Bears are student performers and creatives who volunteer their time to participate in plays and musical productions throughout the year. Joining by way of actor auditions and crew interviews, the students are afforded opportunities to discover, hone, and apply their artistic talents in rehearsals and by designing and constructing sets and props. The young artist’s efforts culminate in a weekend of fantastic performances on the Mt Juliet Middle School stage.
We hope you consider auditioning or interviewing for our productions as ALL are welcome. We work very hard in rehearsals and have so much fun while doing so!
Meeting concurrently with show production schedules. Dates for actor auditions, crew interviews,requirement, expectations, schedules, etc. are broadcast via: parent newsletters, school website/social media, student announcements, and posters. Sign ups for audition and interview slots are collected through Google Forms and Sign Up Genius. There is a $65 participation fee for each production and participants assume all of their costume costs.
FCA- Fellowship of Christian Athletes

First Priority

First Priority is a youth organization that supports student-initiated, student-led Christian clubs on middle school and high school campuses.

Jazz Band

Jazz Band an ensemble that plays jazz style music. It is made up of Drum Set, Piano, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, and all typical band instruments can play as well. The Jazz Band at MJMS is so much fun! Come JAM with us!

Tri-M Music Honors Society
Sponsor: Mrs. Slater and Mr. Figueroa
Tri-M is the only national honor society for student musicians in the country. It highlights your school's music program and gives students the opportunity to perform, lead, and serve. A Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter opens up a world of opportunities for students who have already shown themselves to be academically capable and musically gifted. Through performance and community service, they’ll develop confidence, creativity, critical thinking, compassion, and a host of other leadership skills sure to serve them well in school and beyond. In order to join Tri-M you have to be a part of one of the schools music ensembles (choir or band) and meet certain grade requirements. Please see Mrs. Slater or Mr. Figueroa for an application

Ninja's of Niceness

We provide intentional acts of kindness around our school to boost morale and doing things behind the scenes “without any fanfare,” but to do good things for others.

Science Club

Students work on STEM, chemistry, and life science projects. Past activities include building bridges, making catapults, experimenting with DNA, making plastic & dissecting owl pellets.

Student Ambassadors
Sponsors: Ms. Bush and Mrs. Roberts
Students Ambassadors is a social and hospitality club that will meet occasionally after school, during school hours, and at home events. Students will represent MJMS in welcoming new students, giving tours, making welcoming baskets while getting to know new students. Opportunities will include after school socials, eating lunch with new students, & community involvement.

Student Council

Swim Club

We will swim competitively against other schools in middle Tennessee. In this club, we will have a variety of swimmers, from beginners to experienced. You will learn to swim competitively and strengthen your swimming skills through different swimming techniques.

YPC is a division of DrugFree WilCo. MJMS is the first and only middle school to have a chapter, and we work to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle for teens in Wilson County. We are a youth prevention coalition aiming to make a difference in our peers’ lives.
