Rachel Cook serves as the Assistant Principal at West Elementary. She began my teacher training at Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She went on to pursue a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University as well. Lastly, she received an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. She has taught at Gladeville Elementary, Carroll-Oakland Elementary, and Tucker's Crossroads Elementary here in Wilson County.

She has been married to her husband Brandon for 16 years. Brandon is also an educator. They have five wonderful children; Faith, Tucker, Molly, Jack, and Hattie Joy. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and working on their farm in Lebanon. They love the Wilson County community and have called it home for many years! She and her husband both grew up in Mt. Juliet and graduated from Mt. Juliet High School.

Being an educator is her dream career! She enjoys working with students, parents, teachers, and the community to help create a school that is a safe place, a family, where all students are successful. She believes an effective school is built on high expectations, collaboration, consistency, trust, and the willingness to go the extra mile. It is an honor for her to have the opportunity to serve as an administrator at such a fantastic school.
