Chris Plummer, Principal
Chris Plummer lives in Mt. Juliet with his wife and two children, Kate and Crews. He was born and raised in Kentucky and has been a proud resident and elementary school educator in Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. He has been a West Bulldog since 2012 having previously served as an Assistant Principal.
Mr. Plummer earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master’s of Education degree from Southern Wesleyan University in Augusta, GA. He also holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate from Lipscomb University.
Outside of school, he enjoys spending time outdoors, watching and playing sports, and participating/volunteering at his church, College Hills Church of Christ.

Rachel Cook Assistant Principal
Rachel Cook serves as the Assistant Principal at West Elementary. She began her teacher training at Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She went on to pursue a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University as well. Lastly, she received an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. She is currently working toward her Ed.D degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tennessee State University. She has taught at Gladeville Elementary, Carroll-Oakland Elementary, and Tucker's Crossroads Elementary here in Wilson County. This will be her sixth year to serve at West Elementary as assistant principal.
She has been married to her husband Brandon for 18 years. Brandon is an educator as well and serves as an Instructional Technology Coordinator for Wilson County Schools. They have five wonderful children; Faith(16), Tucker(14), Molly(12), Jack(7), and Hattie Joy(2). In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and working on their farm in Lebanon. Rachel loves the Wilson County community and has called it home for many years! She and her husband both grew up in Mt. Juliet and graduated from Mt. Juliet High School.
Being an educator is her dream career! She enjoys working with students, parents, teachers, and the community to help create a school that is a safe place, a family, where all students are successful. She believes an effective school is built on high expectations, collaboration, consistency, trust, and the willingness to go the extra mile. It is an honor for her to have the opportunity to serve as an administrator at such a wonderful school.
