Bethany Wilson, Principal
Mrs. Wilson has worked for the district since 2010, when she was hired to be an English teacher at Wilson Central High School. In 2015, Wilson was selected to be an assistant principal at West Wilson Middle School. Prior to coming to Wilson County, Wilson served as an English teacher for Franklin Road Academy and Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she held the position of International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme Coordinator at Hunters Lane High School. Mrs. Wilson is a 2017 graduate of the Governor’s Academy for School Leadership and a 2014 graduate of the Masters of Educational Leadership Program at Lipscomb University. She also holds a B.A. in English Education from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Kelly Vallas, 8th Grade Assistant Principal
Mrs. Vallas has worked for the district since 2008, when she was hired to be a Biology teacher. She taught Biology at both Lebanon High School and Wilson Central High School prior to being selected as an assistant principal at Mt. Juliet Middle School in 2015. Prior to coming to Wilson County Schools, Mrs. Vallas worked with student athletes at the University of Southern Mississippi in the NCAA Academic Compliance Department. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences and an M.S. in Science Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, along with an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.

Jordan Simpkins, 7th Grade Assistant Principal
Dr. Simpkins has worked in Wilson County Schools since 2013. Before serving as an Assistant Principal, he taught English, History, and Psychology at Wilson Central High School. Prior to coming to Wilson County, he taught at Bailey STEM Magnet Middle School in Nashville as well as Pope John Paul II High School. Dr. Simpkins was proud to coach Track & Field as well as sponsor Student Council and the German Exchange Program. He holds an undergraduate degree from Samford University, a Masters in Education from Trevecca, and an Ed.S. and Ed.D. from Union University. In 2021 he completed his doctoral dissertation in Educational Leadership at Union, studying school governance.

Amy Wilken, 6th Grade Assistant Principal
Mrs. Wilken has worked for the district since 2015, when she was hired to be a History teacher at Mount Juliet High School. In 2017, she became the SEEK teacher at West Wilson Middle School and then transferred to Gladeville Middle School when the school opened. Prior to coming to Wilson County, she worked at Bellevue Middle School in Nashville for 6 years, and with the Cheatham County School district for 3 years where she proudly coached both girls’ and boys’ sports. She holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from Southeast Missouri State University and a Masters in Administration and Supervision from Lipscomb University.
