Welcome to School Nutrition
Free & Reduced Meal Announcement:
Per the USDA we will return to traditional serving for the 2022-23 year. It is highly encouraged for those who normally qualify for free and reduced meals to go online and fill out an online application or fill out a paper application that you can receive from your child's school. Online and paper applications are available by visiting Free & Reduced Meals 2022-2023.
All students who do not complete an application and qualify for free and reduced lunch will pay full price for meals.
Food restrictions and requests that are not recommended by a medical professional is a voluntary service provided by Wilson County School Nutrition. The requests on the Cafeteria Restrictions Form will be kept to the best of our ability; however, is not binding for us to sustain. The restrictions requested will be placed on the student's profile at the register if considered to be a reasonable request. Restrictions placed on the student's account will remain in the system until communicated to be removed. Questions can be directed to the student's cafeteria manager at his/her school or to Dana Worley (615) 453-7294 ex. 7294.

School Nutrition Overview
Wilson County students are enjoying healthy new choices in their cafeterias.
Wilson County is serving school meals that meet tough new federal nutrition standards, ensuring that meals are healthy, well-balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school.
School meals offer students milk, fruits and vegetables, proteins and grains, and they must meet additional standards requiring:
- Age-appropriate calorie limits
- Larger servings of vegetables and fruits (students must take at least one serving of produce)
- A wider variety of vegetables, including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes
- Fat-free or 1% milk (flavored milk must be fat-free)
- More whole grains
- And less sodium
We are always working to offer students healthier and tastier choices. School meals are a great value and a huge convenience for busy families.
