Next week GMS will be celebrating FFA Week! Students, join in on the dress up days and the fun:
There will be a jar of corn set up in the Ag Commons all week. Any student can submit a guess for the number of corn kernels. The student that guesses the closest to the accurate number will win a prize on Friday.
FFA club members will also have an agriculture Olympic fun day on Thursday afternoon (2/27) from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
GMS Student Photo Contest
We want to capture areas around Gladeville/Mt. Juliet that represent who we are. Here are some examples...picture of a barn, farm land, providence area, running trail, a grove of trees, outside the fire house, a cow and etc.
We ask that these photos do not have any people in them to avoid photo permission.
All photos must be submitted digitally to email@example.com by March 18th.
Once all the photos are submitted they will be judged and the winners will have their images framed and displayed in our Main Office Conference Room. Winners will be announced on March 23rd.

5th Grade Parent Night
Any upcoming 6th Grade Parents are welcomed to attend our Parent Night on April 8th 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Parents will start in the Auditorium. Come see course information, clubs & activities, meet our coaches, and tour the building.
Spreading Kindness in Wilson County
Gladeville Middle School particpated in the challenge issued by Wilco Sparks of Kindness on Facebook. The challenge was to spread kindness in Wilson County. We made motivational posters for students who have testing this week. We went to Rutland Elementary and Gladeville Elementary to encourage the students as they entered the building. They were greeted with "Good Morning", High Fives and Fist Bumps. It was too much fun and great way to Spread Kindness is Wilson County.
Gladeville Middle supports Books from Birth Fundraiser
Gladeville Middle School Administration and Staff participated in the Wilson Books from Birth Imagination Dinner on April 11th. What a fun night and a fantastic cause to support. Our table theme was Wizard of Oz, There is no place like the Glade and we are already planning for next year!

What's Up Wilson!
The early voting period for the March 3rd Election Day starts February 12, 2020! Included on the ballot is a “Wilson County Sales Tax Referendum.” The referendum contains an amendment to designate the education portion of the revenue generated from the proposed increase to raise teacher salaries. Parents who would like to request an “out of zone” transfer for next school year will be able to submit an application, starting February 1, 2020. This includes all teachers and staff, who work for the district. Open Enrollment runs from February 1 - February 28, for the 2020-2021 school calendar year. Eight Schools are eligible for an open transfer, including the new Green Hill High School, which will open in August
Each spring, elementary schools throughout the district hold open house "Kindergarten Fair Nights" for all incoming kindergarten students. These events provide an excellent opportunity for parents and students to learn more about what will be expected for the upcoming school year.

This week Wiley talks about the "Imagination Station STEM Bus" and the big plans it has for activities beginning in August of this year! It's never too early too get excited about STEM and Wiley is all in - your child will be too after you watch this!
