  • One, just a reminder…Spring Showcase registration is open for admitted Tech students at www.tntech.edu/springshowcase. Two dates to chose from (or attend both) – Saturday, Feb 24 or Saturday, March 2. Hope to see you and your family there!

Two, see the email below regarding FAFSA application. I know it has been a nightmare for your students and parents so the email below has some helpful links and our Financial Aid office is geared up to assist.

The new 2024-2025 FAFSA application is now available to complete at www.studentaid.gov. If a student is planning to attend TN Tech anytime during the 2024-2025 school year (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025), they will need to complete the application for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to determine Financial Aid Eligibility.

If a student reports to you any technical difficulties they are having with the 2024-2025 FAFSA application, please direct them to contact one of the help centers listed at FAFSA Help Center Information. Please be aware that the Department of Education is aware of the many technical issues’ students are experiencing with the application and is actively working to resolve them.

In March 2024, Tennessee Tech University will begin receiving 2024-2025 FAFSA applications, so please encourage students to complete their FAFSA as early as possible. Students will need to begin monitoring their student email and Eagle Online account in April 2024 for any additional document requests from our office. Beginning in May 2024, we will begin offering aid packages to all students with First-time Freshmen being our top priority. Please visit our webpage www.tntech.edu/fafsa for more information.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is focused on student success, and we understand financial strains can create significant barriers. We encourage all students to regularly review campus email for important financial aid updates and contact our office with any financial aid related questions.

  • Class of 2024 that will be attending TN Tech in the Fall: Below is important information about Scholarship and Housing Deadlines:

As we approach the end of the semester, I wanted to remind you of some crucial information regarding scholarship opportunities and housing for prospective students at Tennessee Tech University.

    1. Scholarship Application Deadline: December 15

We want to ensure that all qualified students can apply for scholarships at Tennessee Tech. Our institution is proud to offer over 750 departmental and institutional scholarships, providing significant support for our students. Notably, 49% of Tennessee Tech students graduate debt-free, thanks to these scholarship opportunities.

To make the most of this chance, please remind your students that the deadline for scholarship applications is December 15, and they must be admitted to apply for this scholarship application.

Please remind students who are weighing their options to apply to Tech because we are non-committal. Students can be accepted to Tech and apply for scholarships without being committed to Tech. We do not want your students to miss out on these financial opportunities.

    1. Housing Application for Incoming Freshmen

For incoming freshmen, the housing application opened on October 1st. As you may know, freshmen at Tennessee Tech are required to live on campus. We prioritize their housing assignments based on a first-come, first-served policy.

While freshmen are guaranteed housing on campus, preferences will be awarded based on the order in which housing applications are received. Therefore, I encourage you to advise your students to submit their housing applications as soon as possible.

We believe that the on-campus living experience contributes significantly to students' personal and academic growth during their first year at Tennessee Tech. The priority given to incoming freshmen ensures that they have a comfortable and supportive environment as they transition to university life.
