Lance McAllister Named Exceptional Education Coordinator for Secondary Instruction

Wilson County Schools is very pleased to announce that Lance McAllister has been named as the new Exceptional Education Coordinator for Secondary Instruction.
 
Mr. McAllister’s focus will be working closely with all of the middle schools and high schools in our district to support teachers and continue to find innovative ways to improve instructional practices.
 
“We have made great academic strides throughout the district and my goal is to facilitate a continuation of that growth for all of our students,” said Mr. McAllister. “I am very much looking forward to supporting the amazing instruction that takes place across our district every single day.”
 
“We’re excited to have Mr. McAllister join the Exceptional Education team, as he will provide an added support in this very important role,” said Director of Schools, Jeff Luttrell. “We’re always collaborating on how we can continually strengthen our Exceptional Education Department, and he will do great things in this position from both district and school-level duties.”
 
Exceptional Education Supervisor, Dr. Caresa Dodson feels that his experience will be very beneficial for the district saying, “Mr. McAllister joins our team with a wealth of knowledge. Not only does he have a special education background, but he's also taught middle school general education. He will be an integral part of bridging general education and special education for our students.”
